JAMMU, Mar 22: 15-member Jammu and Kashmir team left for Delhi today to participate in the Inter-State Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Cricket Tournament, commencing from March 24, 2015 at Delhi.
The team was selected by the senior selectors of JKCA including Ashinder Koul (Chairman), Shahid Parvez and Abdul Qayoom, after holding a few T20 matches at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Though, the youngsters like Shubham Pundir, Jatin Wadhawan, Usman Pandit and Jahangir Lone have got the selectors nod for their performance and temperament, yet some boys, who either did not get a fair chance in the matches or have not been considered after a good performance deserved a better deal including all-rounder Vishwajeet Singh, who had a marvelous outing during all the trial matches.
“Selectors have to pick only 15 members, so they can not please every. They have selected the 15 boys very much to their satisfaction,” said a JKCA official.
