J&K Taekwondo Asso Cup 2025 begins at SKISC

SRINAGAR, June 24: The J&K Taekwondo Association Cup 2025 commenced with great enthusiasm today at the Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex (SKISC), Srinagar. The two-day championship is being organized by the J&K Taekwondo Association (JKTA) under the aegis of the J&K Sports Council in memory of D.N. Pangotra, former President of JKTA.
The event is supported by Atul International Taekwondo Academy, Gameon Foundation, and Colour World Advertiser. The opening ceremony was graced by Nuzhat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council, as the chief guest. In her address, she lauded the efforts of the organizers and congratulated the young athletes for their spirited participation.
Prominent guests included Nissar Hussain, Senior Vice President JKTA, Maqsood Ahmed Khan, Manager SKISC and Saadat Sogami, Chairman of Team Red NGO, who also distributed medals to the winners.
The championship is being held under the leadership of Rajesh Pangotra (President JKTA), Ramesh Chander Sharma (General Secretary), and Ashiq Hussain (Event Convenor). The Organising Committee is chaired by Burhan Ud Din Khan, Director Gameon Foundation, alongside Vinod Grewal and Danish Manzoor.
A qualified team of referees and coaches is overseeing the technical conduct. Teams from 17 districts, along with the J&K Police Taekwondo Team and Khelo India Centres, are participating.
