POONCH, July 1: Two talented young Volleyball players from Jammu & Kashmir, Nasir Ajaz Sofi from Baramulla and Rehan Parvaiz from Poonch, have been selected for the upcoming India Under-16 boys volleyball camp to be held in Bangalore.
The final team chosen from this camp will represent India in the 2nd Asian Under-16 Boys Volleyball Championship scheduled in Thailand from July 19 to July 27.
Mohd Tariq, Chairman of Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club, praised the selection as an encouraging milestone for the region. The Volleyball Association of J&K (VAJK) also congratulated the players and commended the district associations of Baramulla and Poonch for their role in nurturing young talent.
