JAMMU, Dec 29: Four skaters from Jammu and Kashmir delivered an outstanding performance by winning multiple medals at the 69th National School Games Roller Skating Championship, held at ITM Global School, Gwalior, from December 25 to 30. Their success reflects the rising standard and growing competitiveness of skating in the Union Territory.
Tamanna Saini emerged as the standout performer of the championship, securing two gold medals in the 500 metres and 1000 metres Rink Inline events. Her achievement was especially noteworthy as she defeated the reigning India No. 1 skater. Tamanna is currently training at the Indian Hawks Academy.
Another promising skater from the same academy, Puneesh Puri, further added to the medal tally by winning a bronze medal in the 3000 metres Road Race in the Under-17 category (Junior Inline).
