J&K Police Volleyball Tournament gets underway

SRINAGAR, May 25: To promote strong Police-Public relation and explore talent at grass-root level, a Volleyball Tournament was organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, got underway at Polo Ground, here.
16 teams drawn from various districts of Valley are taking part in this B Division League Series Volleyball Tournament.
The inaugural function of the event was attended by a large number of people. The tournament is being organized by IR 2nd Batallion of JKP, under Civic Action Programme.
Meanwhile, the Commandant of IR 2nd, SSP Mohammad Yousaf Mir felicitated the winners of the inaugural match on the occasion. VVS Srinagar defeated Royal Club Aglar in the inaugural tie.
