JAMMU, Dec 23: The J&K Kurash team participated in the 69th SGFI National Kurash Championship, held at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The team delivered an impressive performance, securing five bronze medals for the Union Territory. Medal winners included Rudhra Partap (below 35 kg), Sanchi Gupta (below 44 kg), Srishti Gupta (below 48 kg), Arya Nazir (below 55 kg), and Simran Choudhary (below 73 kg).
The team was managed by Jatinder Kumar, with coaching support from Meena Kotwal and Reena Gupta for girls and Bashir Ahmad and Anil Kumar for boys. The Youth Services and Sports Department, J&K, lauded the players, coaches and staff for their outstanding efforts and encouraged them to maintain their dedication in future competitions.
