JAMMU, July 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (JKUT) Judo team has left for Cadet National Judo Championship here today.
After the selection trials and screening conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC), the 19 member team comprising eight boys, eight girls, two coaches and one manager left for the national championship scheduled to be held in Karnataka between 5 to 10 July.
The Judo team left for national championship in presence of Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, Suraj Bhan Singh, Manager, Vikas Gupta, Senior Vice-President and Suraj Sharma, General Secretary Judo Association Jammu and Kashmir.
Judokas who were selected for the national championship are Sumit Lal, Adnan Fayaz Bhat, Atul Sharma, Arihaant Mahajan, Vipul Yashovardhan, M Hadi, Mohsin Hamid Malla, Abdul Hannan Shagoo, Fiza Akhter, Manvi Devi, Adn Anrshad, Nandini Chib, Zainab Binti Ajaz, Hidaya Shahid, Anshika Sharma and Tanvi Thakur. Arshi Nad, Jugal Kishore and Manish Chatwal will accompany the team as Coaches and Manager respectively.
