J&K eves win 3rd place, boys lose in QFs

JAMMU, Dec 9: Losing to Goa in the thrilling contest in semifinals, Jammu and Kashmir girls won the 3rd place in the 25th Senior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship at Sunder Nagar in Himachal Pradesh, today.
Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir defeated Himachal Pradesh easily in one-sided affair.
J&K boys were defeated by Orissa in the quarterfinals in a close contest.
However, with this performance, both the teams of the State have qualified for the forthcoming Tennis Ball Cricket Federation Cup to be held in the month of January-February, 2015.
