J&K Bank wins 20th J&K Police Martyr’s Memorial Football Tourney

SRINAGAR, Sept 30: The 20th J&K Police Martyr’s Memorial Football Tournament 2025, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Police, concluded today with a thrilling finale in Srinagar. The tournament not only showcased top-tier football talent but also paid tribute to the valiant martyrs of the region.
In the final match, J&K Bank FC secured the championship title with a 2-0 win over Kashmir Avengers FC. The goals were scored by Akif Reshi and Furkaan Nabi, with Furkaan also being declared Man of the Match. In the 3rd place playoff, J&K Police edged past Downtown FC in a dramatic 8-7 finish via tie-breaker. Muzamil Farooq (jersey no. 01) was awarded Man of the Match for his stellar performance.
The tournament featured several renowned international players, including Sahil Kursheed Malik, Tajamul Islam, Jehangir Ahmad, Faizan Waheed, and Sahil Manzoor. Arun Malhotra, ex-international player and member of the AIFF Technical Committee, attended the event alongside Ishfaq Ahmad, Chief Coach of India U-17 & U-16 teams.
Tajamul Islam was named Best Goalkeeper, Akif Reshi emerged as Highest Scorer (6 goals), and Sahil Manzoor was declared Best Player. Cash prizes of Rs 1.5 lakh, Rs 1 lakh and Rs 75,000 were awarded to J&K Bank, Kashmir Avengers and J&K Police, respectively.
