SRINAGAR, Aug 29: The Jammu & Kashmir Ball Badminton Association conducted selection trials for the Sub-Junior National Ball Badminton Team 2025-26 at Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, Srinagar, ahead of the 44th Sub-Junior National Championship to be held in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu from September 25 to 28, 2025.
The trials were supervised by the J&K Sports Council. Key officials included Dilbagh Singh (Manager) and Ajaz Ahmad (Assistant Manager). The Selection Committee comprised Arsheena Malik (General Secretary, JKBBA & VP, BBFI), Mohsin Farooq, Zahid Mustafa Bhat, Faizan Ahmad, Rasheed Ahmad and Majid Ahmad.
From 20 participants in each category, 15 boys and 15 girls were shortlisted. A 21-day residential coaching camp begins September 1 at the same venue, alongside selected Senior National players to foster advanced training and exposure. The final team of 10 boys and 10 girls will be announced post-camp. Objections to selections can be submitted within 7 days via 9682365877.
