JAMMU, June 23: The Olympic Day Run 2025 was organised with great enthusiasm, respect and dignity by the Jammu & Kashmir Olympic Association under the aegis of the Indian Olympic Association.
The program began with a welcome address by Dushyant Sharma, President of J&K Olympic Association, who warmly greeted all present and highlighted the Olympic movement’s role in promoting peace, unity, and sportsmanship.
Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh Sharma, former President of the Association, served as the chief guest and flagged off the run. In his address, he praised the initiative as a meaningful contribution to the Olympic spirit.
The run started from Manda and concluded at the Brahma Kumaris Ashram, where the closing ceremony was held. Rajyogini BK Sudershan Didi, Director of Brahma Kumaris (J&K), reaffirmed the Ashram’s support for the promotion of sports in the UT.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ajay Vaid, Hony. General Secretary. Special appreciation was extended to Vijay Saraf, Vikas Gupta, Vinod Bhatia, Brijesh Bhau, Sahil Sharma and Danish Sharma for ensuring the event’s success.
