SRINAGAR, Mar 10: The General Body Elections of the J&K Amateur Baseball Association were held at Hotel Jehangir, Srinagar. The elections, supervised by Omera Farooq, Advocate (J&K High Court), as the Returning Officer, were conducted for a four-year term (2025-29). As per statement representatives from various affiliated district units of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the election process, adhering to the guidelines set by the Amateur Baseball Federation of India and the J&K Amateur Baseball Association.
The statement said the newly elected office bearers include Sheikh Riyaz Ahmad as Chairman, Raju Sharma as President, Gh Hassan as Senior Vice President, Aruna Jamwal and Gulzar Ahmad as Vice Presidents for Jammu and Kashmir, respectively. Bilal Ahmad was elected as the General Secretary and Firdous Ahmad as the Treasurer. The executive members include Abdul Majeed, Sayima Ahad, Mehak Rashid, Safeer Ahmad, Ayush Jamwal and Shahid Khanji.
Harish Kumar, Secretary General of the Amateur Baseball Federation of India, was deputed as an observer to monitor the election proceedings.
