JAMMU, Jan 8: The second match of Rajinder Saini and Sandeep Singh Memorial Under-16 (T-30) Cricket Tournament was played between V9 Cricket Club and Janta Cricket Club at Parade Ground Jammu today and Janta Cricket Club won the match by 58 runs.
Batting first, Janta Cricket Club (JCC) made 232 runs for 7 wickets in stipulated 30 overs. Viraj Sharma was the top scorer who scored 66 runs in 44 balls and remained not out. Both the openers D. Devnath and Arslan Rashid scored 25 runs each. Kashyap Narayan Singh and AVS Rathore of V9 Cricket Club shared 2 wickets each.
Chasing the total of 232 runs of JCC, V9 Cricket Club was all out on 174 runs in 24.2 overs. Raman Sharma scored 40 runs, Ayush Sharma, 35 and Veer 30 runs.
Viraj Sharma of Janta Cricket Club clinched 6 wickets for 33 runs.
Viraj Sharma was adjudged as player of the match for his contribution of 66 runs (not out) and 6 wickets.
