JAMMU, Jan 19: The U-15 Winter Cup 2025 concluded with Janta Sports securing a dominant victory, while MIER Jammu finished as the runner-up. The tournament was held at the state-of-the-art Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP) at KC International School, Jammu, witnessed a thrilling final.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal, a prominent social worker, graced the event as the chief guest. He encouraged the young players, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship and love for cricket. He also congratulated Janta Sports’ captain, Lovish Bali, whose leadership guided the team to a perfect record, winning all six matches in the tournament.
Special guest Mukesh Sharma appreciated both teams for their efforts and highlighted the value of giving one’s best, regardless of the outcome. In the final match, MIER Jammu batted first, setting a target of 150 runs in 20 overs. Janta Sports chased down the target in just 12 overs, losing only one wicket. Karanveer Sharma played an outstanding innings, scoring 87* off 44 balls, while Karman Singh contributed 43 runs off 23 balls and took 4 crucial wickets, earning the “Man of the Match” award.
The event was supported by KC International School President Chaitanya Choudhary and Principal Anupama Sinha, who have been instrumental in promoting sports at the institution.
