JAMMU, Aug 10: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, hosted the Bhasha Sampada Samaroh – Inter-school 3rd Language Competition 2025, celebrating India’s rich linguistic heritage. Over 20 schools participated, showcasing talents in Dogri, Sanskrit, Urdu, Punjabi and French through events like Stotra Gaayan in Sanskrit, Ghazal recitation in Urdu, French poetry, Dogri Paakh and Punjabi speeches on freedom fighters.
The event began with a traditional lamp lighting, Saraswati Vandana and welcome dance. Chief guest Narendra Trehan, President of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha J&K, praised the initiative.
The esteemed judges included Dr. Satya Priya, Dr. Shahnaz Qadri, Lokesh Kumar, folk singer Asha Kesar, and Manjit Singh Maskin. Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson Rohini Aima highlighted that “the third language connects regions, communities, and hearts.” Participants impressed with confidence and fluency. In Urdu, Kashish (APS BD Bari) won first place; Sanskrit’s winner was Ananya Singh (KC International School); Punjabi was topped by Gurveer Singh (Doon International School); Dogri’s first place was shared by Pratishtha & Diksha (JSS Jammu) and Palak & Avantika (APS BD Bari); French was won by Yansh Raina (KC International School).
The event was further enriched by the presence of Sonakshi Anand, Director Operations, Jammu Sanskriti School, Avneet Kour Budhraja, Vice-Principal and academic coordinators. The winners received trophies and certificates, while all participants were appreciated. The event concluded with cultural performances and a Dogri Paakh by Asha Kesar. Dr. Geetika Sharma extended a vote of thanks, appreciating the team effort behind the event’s success.
