JAMMU, July 14: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu marked conclusion of the CBSE Kho Kho Cluster XVIII – North Zone-II (NZ-II) Boys & Girls Season 2 with a grand valedictory ceremony held on its campus. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 23 teams representing 14 schools, with a total of 255 students competing across different age categories.
The ceremony began with a graceful cultural performance showcasing the talent of the host school. Vice Principal Avneet Kaur Budhraja extended a warm welcome to all dignitaries and participants. Chief Guest Rohini Aima, Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson, applauded the spirit, discipline and dedication of the young athletes. She emphasized the role of sports in building resilience, teamwork and character. Special invitees Kanwal Anand, Chairperson of Taran Educational Trust and Bhupinder Singh, a supporter of the school’s sports initiatives, were also present.
In the Under-14 category, Army Public School Jammu bagged the gold medal in boys, while Divine Public School Batala clinched gold in girls. Doaba Public School Hoshiarpur and MCS Pathankot secured silver in boys and girls respectively, while Model Academy Jammu earned bronze in both categories.
In Under-17 boys, Shifaly International School Punjab won gold, MCS Pathankot took silver, and Model Academy Jammu received bronze. In the girls’ section, Guru Harkrishan Public School Taran Taaran secured gold, Divine Will Public School Batala took silver, and Guru Hargobind Public School Amritsar earned bronze.
For Under-19, Shifaly International Public School Ludhiana and SDSP Public School Amritsar claimed gold in boys and girls categories respectively. Doaba Public School Hoshiarpur and Shifaly International Public School Ludhiana won silver, while Shri Guru Hargobind Public School and Baba Aya Singh Riarki Public School Gurdaspur earned bronze.
Administrative Officer Tarmeet Raina delivered the Vote of Thanks, marking the end of an inspiring and energetic sporting event.
