JAMMU, June 19: Jammu Rising Stars, Nischay Cricket Academy Gurgaon and Nischay Cricket Academy Blues registered wins in the Friendship Series, being organised by All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) New Delhi, Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu, Police Headquarters Gurgaon and Ambience Group at Rider Cricket Academy cricket ground, Gurgaon.
The cricket series is being conducted under the supervision of SD Singh, IGP Jammu and Vijay Aima, President AIKS. The main objective of the series is “Youth Integration through Sports”.
Vijay Aima, President, AIKS was the chief guest in today’s matches, who while speaking said that the main motive of the tournament is to promote youths and build national integration. He added that for the smooth and successful conduct of the series, Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu, Police Headquarters Gurgaon, along with Ambience Group gave full support to the AIKS.
Among others present were Mahesh Giri from MG Estate, Dheeraj Kapoor, Cricket Promoter Gurgaon, Ajay Pandita, General Secretary KKS Gurgaon, Rajesh Gill former Ranji player, Chief Prosecuting Officer and Incharge of the Jammu Rising Stars team and Madan Mohan, coach of Jammu team.
In the first match, Jammu Rising Stars defeated Riders Cricket Academy by 102 runs.
Batting first, Jammu Rising Stars scored 193 runs for 5 wickets. Musaif scored brilliant 107 runs while other batsmen namely Kannav, Surya and Rohan made 18, 13 and 12 runs.
From Riders Cricket Academy side, Bhavya took 2 wickets, while Yash, Karan and Deepak scalped 1 wicket each.
In reply, Rider Cricket Academy could not chase the target and bundled out for 91 runs thus lost the match by 102. Abhishek made 35 runs, while Athrav scored 13 runs and Kaustubh chipped in 10 runs.
From Jammu Rising Stars side, Nalin scalped 3 wickets, while Praful, Dhruv and Umar took 1 wicket each.
Musaif was declared as Man of the Match.
In the second match, Nischay Cricket Academy Gurgaon defeated Jammu Rising Stars by 5 wickets.
Batting first Jammu Rising Stars scored 102 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 25 overs. The main scores were Musaif with 37 runs, Kannav with 21 runs and Rohan Gill with 19 runs.
From Nischay Cricket Academy side, Aryaan took 3 wickets, Amaan and Saksham shared 1 wicket each.
In the second inning, Nischay Cricket Academy chased the target in 23.2 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Gullai made 26 runs, Dev scored 14 runs and Shevak chipped in 13 runs.
From Jammu Rising Stars side, Sachin took 3 wickets.
Aryaan from Nischay Cricket Academy was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In another match, Nischay Cricket Academy Blues defeated Jammu Rising Stars.
Batting first Nischay Cricket Academy Blues scored 169 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 30 overs. Raj Verma played a magnificent inning of 76 runs, while Ankgrish scored 41 runs and Aman made 22 runs.
From Jammu Rising Stars side, Aditpal took 2 wickets, Nalin scalped 2 wickets while Praful and Ashim shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Jammu Rising Stars bundled out for paltry 84 runs. Musaif scored 25 runs and Rohan Gill made 16 runs, while no other batsman crossed the double figure.
From Nischay Cricket Academy Blues side, Aryaan was the pick of the bowler with 5 wickets, Dharya took 2 wickets and Pratham and Arjun shared 1 wicket each.
Aryaan was declared as Man of the Match.
