Jammu Men’s Masters Handball team wins Gold

JAMMU, Nov 8: The Jammu District Men’s Masters Handball team clinched gold medal at the 2nd J&K Masters Games held at DPL Ground, Jammu, showcasing skill, determination and team spirit.
Led by former national player Sanjay Puri, who played as goalkeeper, the 30+ team narrowly defeated Nowshera, led by Captain Romy by 13-11 in a thrilling final. Former international players Ranjit Singh and Vivek Sharma added experience and composure, inspiring the team to victory. In the bronze medal match, Baramulla, captained by Tariq, defeated Udhampur, led by Ashok Kumar by 13-10.
Neete Kour, General Secretary of the J&K Masters Games Association, praised the teams’ spirit, saying, “Age is just a number. Dedication, discipline and determination can make anything possible.”
The triumph of Jammu’s Masters Handball team highlights perseverance and proves that true passion for sports only grows stronger with experience.
