REASI, Oct 28: Team Jammu emerged as the overall champion in both Boys and Girls categories at the UT Level Archery (AAG) competition held at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Complex, Reasi, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports. Olympian and Arjuna Awardee Rakesh Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion.
In the U14 category, Manohar of Jammu won Gold, followed by Kalayani Sharma (Jammu) with Silver and Vanshika Singh Manhas (Jammu) with Bronze in the Indian event, while Feriha (Jammu) claimed Gold in Recurve.
The U17 category saw Shambhavi (Jammu) lift Gold, Tanya Luthera (Jammu) Silver, and Aditi (Jammu) Bronze in Indian, with Manikarnika Sharma (Jammu) winning Recurve Gold and Nadia Nargis (Doda) Silver.
In U19, Sonia Mottan (Jammu) won Indian Gold, Daniya Choudhary (Kathua) Silver and Niharika (Kathua) Bronze, while Shalni Devi (Doda) secured Recurve Gold. Matches were officiated by Sanjeev Sharma, Jaswant Singh, Jugal Kumar, Surbhi Anthal, Akshay Vashisht, Shakti Kumar and Sahil Sharma under the supervision of Kuldeep Raj.
