SRINAGAR, Oct 17: Jammu Division maintained its winning streak in the U-19 Inter Division Cricket Tournament 2024, securing its second consecutive victory by defeating Kashmir Division by 15 runs at the BHSS ground in Bijbehara. Batting first, Jammu set a target of 145 runs, with notable contributions from Ashutosh, who scored 37 runs, Arman Sharma with 34 runs, and Aryan Dassi adding 23 runs. Kashmir’s bowling attack was led by Sualib Tariq, who took 3 wickets, while Shahid Saleem, Faisal Ayoub, and Faizan Khurshid each claimed 2 wickets.
In their chase, Kashmir Division faced difficulties and ultimately fell short, managing to score only 129 runs. Rahil Mushtaq was the top scorer for Kashmir with 24 runs, while Shahid Saleem and Salman Khan chipped in with 17 runs each. On the bowling front, Waseem Zulfikar shone for Jammu, taking 4 wickets, with Takshdeep, Jatin, Sujal, and Arman each contributing 1 wicket. Waseem Zulfikar’s outstanding performance earned him the Man of the Match award, solidifying Jammu’s lead in the tournament with a 2-0 record.
