Jammu District U-14 Open Tennis C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Nov 11: The Jammu District Open Tennis Championship Under-14, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Lawn Tennis Association (JKLTA), concluded today at Lawn Tennis Courts, MA Stadium, Jammu. The tournament, inaugurated by B.S. Jaggi, Honorary General Secretary of JKLTA, aimed to promote young tennis talent in the Union Territory.
Anissa Nabi, Chief Sports Officer of the J&K Sports Council, was the chief guest and distributed prizes. As per handout issued, in the U-14 Girls category, Arushi Kumari triumphed over Sarah Mahajan by 6-2, 6-2, while Aarav Sharma claimed the Boys title after Mayank Gupta conceded a walkover in the final.
The championship highlighted the skill, perseverance and potential of young players. Coaches and organizers lauded participants for their sportsmanship, reaffirming JKLTA’s commitment to nurturing grassroots tennis and shaping future champions in Jammu and Kashmir.
