JAMMU, Mar 8: The J&K Amateur Boxing Association will organise the Jammu District Boxing Championship on March 13 and 14 at the Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, Jammu. The championship will be held in all age groups including Sub-Junior, Junior, Youth and Elite.
Selection trials for the 9th Youth Men and Women National Boxing Championship will also be conducted on March 14 at the same venue. The national championship is scheduled to be held in Guwahati from April 12, 2026.
Eligible boxers are informed to report to Anil Wadhera, Senior Boxing Coach (Contact No: 7006031537) along with the required original documents. These include the date of birth certificate (boxers born between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009 are eligible for Youth National selection trials), medical book (if already issued by BFI), non-pregnancy certificate for women, Sports Council medical form duly certified by a medical officer, domicile certificate, HIV and Hepatitis B & C negative certificates valid for the last three months, BFI annual medical form and four passport-size photographs.
The age groups for participation in the Jammu District Boxing Championship are: Sub-Junior (born between 01/01/2011 and 31/12/2012), Junior (01/01/2009 to 31/12/2010), Youth (01/01/2007 to 31/12/2008) and Elite (01/01/1985 to 31/12/2006).
For the Youth Men and Women National Boxing Championship selection trials, only boxers born between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009 will be eligible to participate.
