Jammu children spread message of ‘Pani Bachao, Life Banao’

JAMMU, June 5: This was the second season of 92.7 Big FM’s record making Painting Competition- “Pani Bachao Life Banao” wherein children in the age-group of 6-16 years painted on the same theme simultaneously across 45 venues where BIG FM stations are located all over India. This was an attempt to break Limca Book of Records.
Around 500 children hailing from different schools both Government and private, took part in this competition in Jammu the venue for which was Wave Mall.
The effort was very well appreciated by the special guests for the occasion, Rahul Sahai, Chairman Sahai Group of Companies. He said, “Saving water is the need of the hour. Children are said to be the torchbearers and giving such messages to children in a creative way will surely help in future. It is difficult to convince elders to change their lifestyle but only children have the power to do the impossible and convince their elders for such changes. As such, these events shall be held more frequently.”
Also present on the occasion was Rupika Sahai, Director, Sahai Group of Companies. Emphasizing the importance of water she said, “It is extremely important for children to understand the role which the environment plays in making us healthy and our role in making the environment healthy. Saving water is the most important task for every living being and this painting competition takes the kids a step nearer to this task.”
The dignitaries distributed prizes to the winners of Junior and Senior categories. In Junior Category consolation prizes were won by Insiya Verma and Navya Rattan. First, second and third Prizes were won by Shriya Rani, Aaditi Pandita and Jahanvi Goswami, respectively. In the Senior Category, Manik Billowria and Vidit Chopra won the consolation prizes while Reetika Verma, Mrinal Raina and Himanshu Dogra won the first, second and third prizes, respectively. Certificates were distributed to all the participants.
Renowned artists of the State, Bhushan Kesar and Manoj Chopra adjudged the event.
