JAMMU, Apr 7: Tantray Sports Club and Rehari Kings XI registered impressive wins in the ongoing 1st Jambu Lochan T20 Cricket Tournament, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Masters Games Association.
At Maulana Azad Stadium, Green Star Bhaderwah opted to bat first but were bundled out for a modest 57 runs in 15 overs. Aamir Sheikh was the top scorer with 17 runs, as the batting side struggled against a disciplined bowling attack.
Tantray Sports Club dominated proceedings, with Arit Rai delivering a brilliant spell, claiming three wickets for just seven runs in three overs. In reply, Tantray SC chased down the target comfortably, securing an emphatic eight-wicket victory. Vijay Dogra remained unbeaten on 30, anchoring the innings with ease. Bashir Khalid and Adil Gaffoor picked up a wicket each for Green Star Bhaderwah.
In another match, Shine Star Cricket Club posted a competitive total of 128 runs in 20 overs. Karan top-scored with 44, while Raman Chargotra added 34 runs.
Rehari Kings XI responded strongly, with Dr Vishwa Pratap Singh and Kewal Kotwal claiming three wickets each to restrict the opposition. Chasing the target, Rehari Kings XI held their nerve despite regular setbacks, reaching the total in 19.4 overs to seal a thrilling win with two balls to spare. The matches highlighted competitive cricket and spirited performances, adding excitement to the tournament.
