Jambu Lochan T20 cricket tourney from Apr 5

JAMMU, Apr 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Masters Games Association (JKMGA) will organise the inaugural Jambu Lochan T20 Cricket Tournament from April 5 to April 12 at MA Stadium, Jammu, aiming to promote grassroot cricket and provide a competitive platform for emerging players in the region.
A total of ten teams from Jammu and Kashmir will participate in the tournament, showcasing emerging cricketing talent from across the region. The teams include Mulan Sports Club (captain Rahul Mulan), Shine Star Warriors (captain Eshant Sharma), Rehari Kings XI (captain Rohit Gupta), Tantray Sports Club (captain Mohd Arif Tantray), Hunter Cricket Team (captain Vikas Charak), Tiger Eleven (captain Daljeet Singh), Apex Cricket Club (captain Arun Sharma), Gentle Giants (captain Vishwajeet Singh), Green Star Bhaderwah (captain Adil Gafoor Ganie), and Mavericks Cricket Club (captain Sami Ullah Malik).
Matches will be officiated by umpires Harsh Nagar and Deepak Gupta (Lucky), while Surinder Kumar will serve as the official scorer to ensure smooth conduct of the tournament.
The winning team will receive a cash award of Rs 1,00,000 along with a trophy, while the runners-up will be awarded Rs 50,000 and a trophy. The “Man of the Series” will be given Rs 5,000, and “Man of the Match” awardees, along with players of the winning team, will receive souvenirs.
JKMGA President Ranjit Singh Chib said the initiative is aimed at nurturing young cricketers and strengthening the sporting culture in Jammu and Kashmir. General Secretary Neete Kour confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been made. Players currently participating in Ranji Trophy or other JKCA/BCCI-recognised tournaments will not be eligible to participate.
