JAMMU, Aug 6: Department of Youth Services & Sports today organised Inter-Zonal District Level (IZDL) Under-19 boys Volleyball competitions of Jammu district commenced at Khel Gaon Nagrota, near here today.
The competitions were organised under the chairmanship of Director Youth Services and Sports, MA Bhat and under the overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma wherein participants of 14 Zones of District Jammu are taking part.
ZPEOs, technical officials and other field staff and the committee members were deployed for the smooth conduct of this tournament.
The main aim of the tournament is to select best players for the next level of the competition coming ahead. T Ram Murti, Saleem-ur-Reham, Yashpal Sharma, BK Bhat and other officials of the District Jammu were part of the organising committee.
Zone Dansal beat Zone Gandhi Nagar by 2-0 sets, whereas Zone Jourian trounced Zone Bhalwal by 2-1 sets, whereas Zone Arnia defeated Zone Chowki Choura by 2-0 sets besides, Zone Marh trounced Zone Bishnah by 2-1 sets, whereas Zone Khour beat Zone R.S Pura by 2-0 sets, Zone Miran Sahib was given walk over as Zone Jammu didn’t participated and Zone Khour defeated Zone Miran Sahib by 2-0 sets.
The matches were officiated by panel of experts of the department concerned.
