Int’l Islamic School wins U-14 Zonal Football tourney

SRINAGAR, June 17: In a moment of pride, International Islamic School, Millatabad Peerbagh, clinched Under-14 Inter-School Zonal Level Football Tournament 2025-26, held in Budgam. Organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Zone Budgam, the tournament featured 11 teams, with IIS emerging as champions after defeating strong contenders like DPS Budgam and FWS Mamath Budgam in the final.
The high-energy event was witnessed by DYSSO Budgam GH Lone, ZPEO Tariq Ahmad Dar and Organising Secretary Kausar Ahmad, along with other officials. The IIS team showcased excellent teamwork and sportsmanship. The winning squad included Mohammad Kashif Bhat, Asfar Manzoor, Arhan Baba, Usman Bin Javaid Mirchal, Hamza Nadeem Dar and others.
Dr. Tariq Ahmad Bhat, Chairman of IIS, congratulated the players and coach Muhtashim, highlighting the school’s focus on discipline and excellence. Principal Umer Malik praised the team’s hard work and community support, while the Board of Directors commended the collective effort of students, staff and faculty.
