Int’l Dangal competition to be held on Dec 17

JAMMU, Dec 8: The Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC), in collaboration with the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, will host the International Dangal and the first-ever Rustam-e-Jammu Kashmir title on December 17 at MA Stadium, Jammu. The event will be held under the supervision of Secretary Sports Council J&K, Nuzhat Gul and Association President, Shiv Kumar Sharma.
The newly introduced Rustam-e-Jammu Kashmir title is open to wrestlers above 85 kg, with the champion set to receive Rs 50,000, along with the traditional Gurj (Gadda) and Patta. The runner-up will earn Rs 30,000, while the third and fourth position holders will receive Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively. The competition will also feature open-category bouts with prominent national and international wrestlers.
Eligible participants must submit their Aadhar and bank details to Ram Paul Sharma, Vice President of the Association, via WhatsApp (87130-88893) by December 12. The event begins at 12 noon, with free entry for spectators.
