JAMMU, July 19: International Daily Rising School hosted Jammu’s first-ever PGT Workshops for Commerce and Mathematics under the aegis of the Jammu Sahodaya CBSE School Complex, aimed at strengthening pedagogical practices in senior secondary education. The event marked a significant step toward professional development and collaboration among educators across J&K.
The workshop focused on Accountancy, Business Studies, and Mathematics, drawing participation from Post Graduate Teachers representing over 25 reputed CBSE schools. Dr. Atul Hans, Director Academics cum Principal of International Daily Rising School, and a CBSE resource person, led enriching sessions on Commerce subjects. With 23 authored books, he highlighted case-based learning, experiential teaching, and real-world integration.
Ashwani Kumar, PGT Mathematics at KV No. 1, conducted an insightful session on innovative methods of teaching Mathematics using visual aids, digital tools and concept-mapping techniques. Key highlights included NEP-aligned strategies, AI-supported learning tools, group discussions, peer-sharing, and a focused session on question paper design and assessment patterns.
The event welcomed esteemed guests including Manmeet Kaur, Vice Principal, Army Public School Jammu Cantt. Support came from Rounik Mahajan, Head of Administration and Business and Atul Mahajan, Deputy Regional Head, Academics. The workshop concluded with an interactive feedback session and certificate distribution, leaving educators inspired and empowered.
