Inter Zonal District Level competitions of District Jammu begins

JAMMU, Sept 6: Inter Zonal District Level competitions in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Kabaddi began today at Government Higher Secondary School Domana.
In all 250 girls drawn from all the 14 Zones of District Jammu are competing for the top honours. The four day competitions are being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu.
The competitions were declared open by Dr Sandeep Kumar Mottan, Child Development Project Officer, Marh in a well attended function.
Result: In Kabaddi Under -19 Girls, Gandhi Nagar zone beat Jammu zone by 14 points, Jammu zone thrashed Arnia zone by 12 points and Akhnoor zone defeated RS Pura by 8 points.
In Volley Ball Under-19 Girls, Akhnoor zone beat Jammu zone in 2 straight sets (25-12, 25-17), Gandhi Nagar beat Bhalwal zone in 2 straight sets (25-06, 25-16) and Akhnoor zone beat Gandhi Nagar zone in 2 straight sets (25-19, 25-16).
In Kho-Kho Under-19 Girls, Akhnoor zone beat Jammu zone by 6-1, Khour Zone beat Bishnah zone by 1 turn and 11 points and Bhalwal zone beat Gandhi Nagar by 11-3.
