JAMMU, Feb 2: The five-day Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme, organised by MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India concluded at Amphitheatre, Bagh-e-Bahu, today.
The ceremony was graced by Shakti Kumar Pathak, Director, Anti Corruption Bureau J&K as the chief guest. He motivated the youth to remain committed to ethical values and nation-building and appreciated MY Bharat for organising meaningful initiatives that promote national integration, leadership and cultural understanding among young citizens.
The programme featured colourful cultural performances, including a traditional Dogri folk dance by a Jammu-based folk group and a poetry presentation in Haryanvi language by youth participants from Haryana. A language learning session added a unique dimension to the event, wherein select words were translated and exchanged among Haryanvi, Dogri, and Urdu, symbolising unity in diversity and mutual respect for linguistic heritage.
Nitin Hangloo, Deputy Director, MY Bharat Jammu during his concluding remarks expressed gratitude to the Resource Persons viz., Ranjeet Kalra, Dr Ajay Sharma SP South, Dr Romesh Chander, Shireen Kalra for the necessary support rendered during the program. During the ceremony, certificates were distributed to all participants. The winning team of the Group Discussion on “Viksit Bharat @ 2047” was also felicitated for their insightful participation and performance.
The Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme witnessed the participation of 37 youth from Haryana and was organised at Kalika Dham, Jammu, with the objective of fostering national integration and cross-cultural learning.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr Nitan Sharma, Assistant Professor, The Law School, Jammu University, who acknowledged the support of dignitaries especially Harvinder Kour, Secretary, JKAACL, organisers, volunteers, and participants for the successful conduct of the programme.
