REASI, May 7: The Inter-School Zone Level Competitions organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS), Zone Reasi, concluded at General Zorawar Singh Stadium, here today. A total of 135 students from various schools across the zone participated in events including Yoga, Chess and Table Tennis.
In Chess (U17 Boys), Arav Gupta (DPS Katra) secured first place, followed by Divansh Rajput and Tanmay Jamwal (TPHS Katra) and Sahil Kumar (GHS Nomain). In U14 Boys, Aryan Singh (BSM Reasi), Yohan Gandotra (TSN Reasi) and Kartikya Paroch (HSS Gurukul Reasi) took the top spots. Among U14 Girls, Upasna Sharma (NEW School), Pratiba Bharti, and Ektia Devi (BVM Reasi) emerged winners. Simran Dogra (GHSS Panasaa) and Muskan Sharma (GHSS Katra) led in U17 Girls.
In Yoga, Akshi Sharma (DPS Katra), Lashita Sharma and Naina Devi (GGHSS Reasi) excelled in U17 Girls. Vansh Verma, Shail Kumar, and Antriksh Sharma topped U17 Boys. In U14 Boys, Danish Kumar, Monu Bassan (GMS Lower Seela), and Balbir Singh secured leading positions. Priya Kumar, Poonam Rajput, and Nargish Nazir triumphed in U14 Girls.
ZPEO Asha Devi commended all participants and appreciated the staff’s efforts for the smooth conduct of the event, reaffirming the department’s dedication to student development through sports.
