DODA, July 12: Inter School Zonal Level Tournaments for Under 19 boys and girls commenced at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah, here today.
The Department of Youth Services and Sports Zone Bhaderwah is organising this two days tournament for boys and girls under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Doda, Jaffer Haider Shiekh.
The chief guest on this occasion was ADC Sunil Kumar Bhutyal who inaugurated the tournament along with the Principal of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah, Shefayat Ali, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Vijay Kotwal and staff members of Sports Department, Bhaderwah.
About 113 girls from different Higher Secondary Schools of Zone Bhaderwah participated in the tournament in the disciplines of Kho Kho, Kabaddi, Volley Ball, Badminton, Chess, Athletics etc.
In initial matches, in Kabaddi, HSS Girls Bhaderwah beat HSS Bhalra and in Kho Kho, HSS Sartingle beat HSS Girls Bhaderwah.
The matches were officiated by technical committee comprising PEMs, PETs and REKs.
