JAMMU, May 2: The Department of Youth Services & Sports, Zone Gandhi Nagar organized Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions for U-14 Boys in Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Chess, Yoga and Wrestling at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Nanak Nagar. The event was held under the chairmanship of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu, and overall supervision of Ram Murti, ZPEO Gandhi Nagar.
Rita Poply, Principal of the host school, was the chief guest. Around 595 boys from various Government and Private schools of Zone Gandhi Nagar participated. Rita Poply congratulated all participants and highlighted the importance of sports in students’ lives. Ram Murti expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest and praised the field staff for their efforts.
The competitions were conducted by Dalbir Kour, Rajesh Singh Rana, Sukhdev Singh, Guminder Preet Kour, Satvir Kour, Sushma Kotwal, Varinder Kumar, Shamo Devi, Jagjeet Singh, Parveen Kour, Shefali, Sanjay Khajuria, Vishal Jamwal and Kamal Singh.
