LEH, June 1: The three-day Inter-School Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School Diskit concluded today, with strong participation from Nubra schools. The event was honoured by Deputy Chief Executive Councillor Tsering Angchuk as chief guest and District Youth Services and Sports Officer Tsering Tashi as guest of honour.
In Archery Indian Round Boys Individual, Tsewang Dauchos (H/S Panamik) won first, Stanzin Chosphel (H/S Charasa) second and Samire Hussian (H/S Hunder) third. Girls Individual winners were Hajira Khaton (H/S Patchathang), Chosket Zadon (H/S Panamik), and Youdon Chosyang (H/S Panamik).
Archery Team winners were Govt. High School Panamik (Boys and Girls), with Govt. High School Charasa and Govt. High School Largyab Patchathang as runners-up.
In Under-17 Volleyball and Handball, Govt. High School Chulungka, High School Patchathang and High School Hunder featured prominently. At Higher Secondary level, Govt. Higher Secondary Schools Diskit, Sumoor, Turtuk and Tyakshi won various categories.
