JAMMU, May 9: The Zonal Level Inter -School Tournament for Under-14 and Under-17 girls in the disciplines of kho-kho and kabaddi, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports concluded at City Middle School, RS Pura today.
Principal Government Higher Secondary School for Girls RS Pura, Garo Devi, was chief guest in the inaugural function, while the tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu and conducted under the supervision of Hira Lal Pandita, zonal physical education officer, RS Pura.
The matches were officiated by Govind Singh, Vijay Kumar, Parveen Kumari, Amolak Singh, Suraj Kour, Vijinder Paul Kour, Vinod Kumar and Mahabir Singh.
Earlier, in kho-kho Under-17 girls, HS Basti Gulab Garh defeated GHSS RS Pura by 1 point (8-7), while in Under-14 girls final, HS Seerbalah defeated HS Rangpura Mulana by 2 point (6-4).
Kabaddi Under-17 girls title went to GHS Satrayin, defeating GHS Rangpura Mulana by 14 points (31-17) in the summit clash.
