JAMMU, July 28: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, district Jammu, has launched the Inter-School District Level selection trials for boys and girls in Gymnastics, Thang-Ta, Roller Skating and Handball. The events are being held at MA Stadium Jammu (for Gymnastics, Thang-Ta, Roller Skating) and SD Bazaar Sabha Rehari (for Handball).
Organized under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports JK UT, Anuradha Gupta, with guidance from Joint Director Vinakshi Koul, Deputy Director Jetinder Mishra and under the supervision by DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma, the trials aim to provide young athletes a platform to showcase their talent and foster sportsmanship. The objective is to identify and nurture the best talent to represent the district in upcoming competitions.
The competitions are being managed by experienced officials including Geeta Devi, Anil Dogra and others. In the gymnastics category, Manya from Heritage School secured first place, followed by Muskan Rana from SP Smart in second and Jagriti Thakur from GHSS Rehari Colony in third place.
