UDHAMPUR, May 6: District Level Inter-School Chess Tournament for Under-14 and Under-17 boys and girls concluded at District Youth Services and Sports Office, here today.
15 boys and 7 girls drawn from 11 Schools of District Udhampur participated in the Tournament to vie for the top honours.
In Under-17 boys, Boby Dewal of Govt HS Chak Rakhwalan defeated Mohit Atri of Little Flower Convent, while in Under-17 girls, Anu Radha of National Academy Udhampur defeated Muskan of LA Paradise.
In Under-14 girls, Stuti of Sacred Era Experimental defeated Ananya of KC Gurukul, while in Under-14 boys, Aryan of National Academy Udhampur defeated Dev Koushik of KC Gurukul.
The Tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the supervision of Sukhdev Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Udhampur and District Activity Incharge, Sanjay Sharma, PEM DYSSO Office, Udhmapur.
The officials who acted as judges in the Tournament were Ajit Singh, PEM; Naveen Sharma, PEM; Romesh Chander, PEM; Raman Kumar Gupta, PET; Adarsh, PET KC Gurukul; Rishi Sharma, PET, Rajesh Sharma, PET and Sanjeev Kumar, PET.
