JAMMU, Oct 17: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu, concluded the Inter-District UT Level Fencing Competition for Under-19 boys at the Indoor Hall, MA Stadium Jammu. Around 300 students from various districts participated in the event.
In the Épée boys category, Sayam Sharma (Jammu) secured 1st position, followed by Ramvir Singh (Jammu) at 2nd and Rain Sharma (Samba) at 3rd place. For Foil, Manjoot Sharma (Udhampur) topped the event, with Lakshy Sharma (Jammu) 2nd and Ram Paul (Jammu) 3rd. In the Sabre discipline, Davansh Sharma (Jammu) claimed 1st place, Vinayak Sharma (Jammu) 2nd and Satvik Bangotra (Jammu) 3rd.
DYSSO Jammu praised the players’ sportsmanship and distributed medals and certificates to the winners and runners-up. The competition was conducted smoothly by technical experts including Ujjwal Gupta, Shifali Gupta and others.
