JAMMU, Dec 16: Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) organized an Inter-collegiate Kabaddi (Men and Women) tournament at GCW Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Prof Suresh Bhat was the chief guest, while Dr Vinod Bakshi, Sports Coordinator CLUJ and Physical Director GGM Science College Jammu was the guest of honour on the occasion.
In the men’s category, SPMR College of Commerce beat GGM Science College by 37-22. Mohd Asif of SPMR College of Commerce played very well for his team. In the women’s category, SPMR College of Commerce got better of GGM Science College by 41-36 in a neck to neck fight.
The final matches will be played between SPMR College of Commerce and MAM College in men’s category, while SPMR College of Commerce will play the final match with GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu in women’s category, tomorrow.
The tournament was played under the supervision of Dr Roopali Slathia, Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar and under the overall supervision of Dr Vinod Bakshi, Sports Coordinator CLUJ.
Professor Yash Paul (Convenor Sports Committee, GCW Gandhi Nagar), Professor Varun Sharma, Prof Isha Goel, Prof Pooja Charak, Prof Jagmeet Kour, Aijaz Malik, Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce and Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director Govt. MAM College were present during the event.
The matches were officiated by Aman Singh, Keshav Singh and Dheeraj Sharma.
