India announces squad for CAVA U-19 Men’s Volleyball C’ship

JAMMU, June 8: The Adhoc Committee of the Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) has announced the 12-member Indian squad for the CAVA U-19 Men’s Volleyball Championship 2025, to be held in Uzbekistan from June 10 to 16.
The team features a promising mix of attackers, blockers, universals, setters and liberos, reflecting a well-balanced unit prepared to take on the international challenge. The selected players include Rajat Singh, Mahendra Dhurwe, Ashish Kumar, Sunil Muwal, Nandamudi Mourya, Vignesh Shanmugan, Adarsh Rai, Aadhi Krishna Nediyara, Kunal Das, Akhilan Kamaraj, Alok Manoj Todkar and Nikhil Jat.
The official Indian contingent includes Kuldeep Magotra (Manager), Lakshminarayan K R (Head Coach), Surinder Kumar and Mohd Javeed (Assistant Coaches), Utkarsh Kulshreshta (Doctor/Therapist) and Narender Kshatriya (Referee).
India is set to face Iran on June 10, Kyrgyzstan on June 11, Uzbekistan-I on June 12, and Uzbekistan-II on June 14. Coaches expressed strong confidence in the squad’s fitness and form, following intensive training sessions. As anticipation builds, the nation hopes these young athletes bring home glory from the Central Asia Volleyball Association (CAVA) championship stage.
