Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture, Raman Bhalla was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest and the other dignitaries present on the occasion.
While addressing the function, the Minister impressed upon the teachers to impart quality education to the students to prepare them to face future challenges.
Bhalla said annual days not only provide students a platform to exhibit their hidden talent, but also introduce them with the culture and heritage of the State. He urged upon the students to take part in co-curricular activities side by side academics for their overall personality development.
The Chairman of the School, K K Pandoh, Principal Jagdamba Gandotra besides students and parents in large numbers were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the students of different classes presented colourful cultural items like Sarswati Vandana, Dogri, Kashmiri and Punjabi, dance and music, besides various skits, which were highly applauded by the audience.
Later, the Minister distributed mementos among the students who have excelled in 2011-12 examinations.
