JAMMU, Aug 9: It was a moment of immense pride for the entire International Delhi Public School (IDPS) community as four outstanding students from IDPS Ghoumanhasan earned the rare honour of meeting President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
The student delegation included Rushaan Ahmed Mir (Grade 7), Priyanshi Saini (Grade 8), Aradhya Parihar (Grade 8) and Stavya Mehta (Grade 5). They were accompanied by Vandana Sharma, Director of the school and Sia Singh, Managing Director. The visit was a part of a national-level student interaction programme recognizing excellence and leadership among young learners.
The memorable interaction provided the students with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the grandeur of the highest office in the country and draw inspiration from the words and presence of the President.
Vandana Sharma described the visit as “a deeply enriching experience to see our students interact with the President and carry themselves with such dignity.” Sia Singh called it “a proud and emotional moment that will forever be etched in the school’s history.”
Principal Sahrish Ismaily remarked that the occasion was “an inspiration for the entire IDPS community to dream big and strive for excellence.” Vice Principal Mubeen Butt congratulated the students and thanked parents and staff for their support.
Dr. Narayan Kumar Karn, President of the IDPS Society, also congratulated the students, calling their achievement a proud chapter in the school’s journey.
