JAMMU, Dec 26: International Delhi Public School (IDPS), Akhnoor, celebrated its 17th Annual Day with the inspiring theme ‘Bhavya Bharat’.
The programme began with a welcome address by Dr Dheeraj Sharma, Managing Director. Cultural presentations included folk dances, thematic tableaux and a Hollywood-style performance. A tribute to Jammu & Kashmir and the nation was a highlight of the evening.
The ceremony was graced by chief guest Sanjeev Verma, Chief Electoral Officer, J&K and guest of honour Padma Shri Dr S P Verma, President, Gandhi Global Family, J&K. The school management included Chairman Sat Paul Sharma; Managing Director Dr Dheeraj Sharma; Academic Director Dr K C S Mehta; Principal Vinay Kumar; Headmistress Anchal Gupta; Senior Secondary Coordinator Gurpreet Kour; Senior Coordinator Rajni Sharma and CCA Coordinator Nisha.
Meritorious students felicitated included Yashodhan, Harleen Kour, Shakshi Rajput, Aryan Khan, Yashleen Kour, Raghvi Sharma and Aditya Morya Singh Jamwal. Teachers honoured were Anima Sharma, Pankaj Sodhy, Neha Sharma, Jasmeet Kour, Bharat Bhushan; support staff Veena Devi, Baljeet Singh, Vishal Singh, Swaran Singh, Reemika Sharma, Madhu Devi and Sonia. Trojans House received the Rolling Trophy.
