JAMMU, Aug 23: Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, displayed outstanding social commitment by raising Rs 2,91,532 for HelpAge India, an international organisation working for the welfare of senior citizens across more than 70 countries, including all Indian states.
The amount was collected through the dedicated efforts of students and teachers, who came together to support underprivileged elderly individuals. The cheque was handed over by Principal Gaurav Charak in the presence of Vice-Principal Anku Charak, Admin Incharge Akashdeep Raina and various wing incharges.
Charak stated that helping the elderly is a moral duty and such efforts can ease their sorrows. Neeru Khajuria, Senior Executive of HelpAge India, appreciated the school’s generous contribution and praised the students for their sincerity and compassion. She also thanked the school administration for their remarkable support.
