JAMMU, Nov 29: HGS Jammu here today hosted Inter-School SahodayaSpell Bee Competition ‘Buzz with Brilliance’ for Grade 6.
This competition offered students a platform to hone their spelling skills, expand their vocabulary, grasp new concepts and enhance their linguistic skills.
On this occasion Subah Mehta, Joint Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation was chief guest and Dr. Vikesh Kour, Principal Doon International School and President Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex was guest of honour.
Distinguished guest K.C Mehta, Academic Director IDPS Akhnoor was also present to grace the occasion. The event commenced with the traditional lamp lighting followed by Saraswati Vandana.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Shakun Choudhary highlighted the significance of such competitions.
The chief guest and the guest of honour were felicitated by the Principal.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 22 schools from across Jammu. The first position was bagged by Army Public School Kaluchak, second by Carmel Convent School and third by Sainik School Nagrota while HGS Jammu, Shaurya International School and St. Peter’s School were awarded consolation prizes.
The chief guest felicitated the winners with trophies and certificates.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Headmaster Ashok Raina.
