Heritage student selected to represent India in Int’l Skating Series

JAMMU, Apr 6: Heritage School has announced that Puneesh Puri, a Class X-D student, has been selected to represennt India at the prestigious World Skate Europe Track Series 2026, scheduled to be held from April 9 to April 19 across Portugal and Germany.
The international series features two major competitions. The first, the 21st International Inline Speed Skating Tournament – Terras do Infante, will take place in Lagos, Portugal, from April 9 to April 12. This will be followed by the Arena Geisingen International 2026 in Geisingen, Germany, from April 16 to April 19. Both events are expected to witness participation from top skaters around the globe.
Puneesh’s selection is a remarkable achievement, as he is the only skater from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to qualify for this elite international platform. He has been chosen by the reputed Simmons Rana Racing Team in recognition of his consistent performance, dedication, and success in national-level competitions, where he has earned multiple medals over the past year.
Despite being the youngest member of the team, Puneesh has demonstrated exceptional talent, discipline and determination. His participation marks a significant milestone in his sporting journey and serves as an inspiration for young athletes. The school fraternity has extended heartfelt congratulations and wished him success in the upcoming competitions.
