JAMMU, Jan 31: As part of the RIDS-British Council India programme, Heritage School organised a dry food collection drive titled ‘Sharing and Caring’ to support children in need and promote values of empathy and social responsibility among students. The initiative witnessed active participation from students of Classes VI and VII, who contributed dry food items as per class-wise guidelines.
The collected items were distributed at Balgram Charitable Trust, Narwal. A group of 24 students visited the children’s home, where they interacted warmly with the resident children, shared experiences and spent meaningful time engaging in conversations and activities. The visit proved to be a deeply enriching and heart-touching experience for the students.
The initiative not only provided essential food support to the children of Balgram Charitable Trust but also reinforced the spirit of kindness, sharing and care among Heritage School students. The school appreciated the efforts of students, teachers and parents for their wholehearted support in making the programme a success.
