JAMMU, Nov 13: The Commerce Department of Heritage School organized an innovative event, ‘Shark Tank – For Social Good,’ under the theme “Human Capital Matters” as part of the RIDS-British Council India project. The activity aimed to foster entrepreneurial thinking, creativity and problem-solving among students while addressing UN SDGs 1 and 10.
Students of Classes XI and XII (Commerce stream) worked in teams to identify social and economic challenges and presented sustainable, scalable solutions in a Shark Tank-style pitch before a distinguished jury including Dr. Suvidha Khanna, Associate Professor, University of Jammu and the School Principal.
Seven teams proposed inventive projects such as solar-powered cold storage units, AI-driven vocational platforms, sustainable construction models, and eco-conscious fashion initiatives. The Principal lauded the students’ creativity, vision, and social awareness, highlighting the school’s commitment to nurturing globally aware, socially responsible, and future-ready citizens.
