JAMMU, July 24: Heritage School installed its Senior and Junior Prefectorial Boards for the academic year 2025-26 in a solemn and inspiring ceremony held on campus.
The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a vibrant musical performance added celebratory colour to the occasion.
The Senior Prefectorial Board was democratically elected through the school’s long-standing electronic voting system, involving students and faculty from Grades IX to XII.
Principal Akash Pradhan administered the Oath of Office to the newly appointed leaders. Aryaveer Singh and Akula Punj, both of Class XII, were installed as the Head Boy and Head Girl, while Divyansh and Sonakshi Padwal of Class XI took charge as Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl, respectively. Rujula Mahajan was appointed as the Cultural Captain, and Akshmala took on the role of Sports Captain. The leadership team from the Primary Wing included Japsimar Singh and Banat Kour as Junior Head Boy and Junior Head Girl.
The House Councils also took their oath of office. From Culture House, Suhani Rajput was named Senior Prefect, Akshara Gupta as Senior Vice Prefect, and Riaan Gupta and Aaditri Gupta as Junior Prefects. Tradition House included Arivan Gupta as Senior Prefect, Athrav Bhushan as Senior Vice Prefect, and Harshveer Singh Bali and Anaisha Gupta as Junior Prefects. Legacy House appointed Abir Beri as Senior Prefect, Shreyas Magotra as Senior Vice Prefect, and Karanvir Singh and Sarvya Arora as Junior Prefects. For Dignity House, Mushahid Mir was invested as Senior Prefect, Darim Tak as Senior Vice Prefect, and Rajveer Singh Jaswal and Ira Dadwal as Junior Prefects.
Adding immense pride to the event was the presence of the chief guest, Mrigu Sambyal, an illustrious alumna of the 2018-19 batch, who recently secured the All India Rank 2 (Women) in the UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination 2024.
